Our Story

Born from a Capri Sandal-Making Tradition

A•MANO Capri was founded by two sisters who grew up surrounded by the tradition of handmade Capri sandals.

Our story began in our family’s sandal workshop in Anacapri, where we learned the techniques, materials and craftsmanship behind the authentic Capri sandal. Growing up in the workshop gave us an understanding of the craft that can only come from seeing sandals made by hand, one pair at a time.

A New Generation of Capri Sandals

We later decided to create something of our own.

A•MANO was born from the desire to preserve the quality and traditional techniques we grew up with while giving the Capri sandal a more contemporary, playful and fashion-led identity.

We kept what mattered: genuine Italian leather, carefully selected materials, traditional construction and the attention to fit that has always defined handmade Capri sandals. Then we made the designs our own, experimenting with colour, textures, braiding and unexpected details.

Handmade in Our Capri Workshop

Today, every A•MANO sandal is made by hand in our workshop in Capri.

From preparing the leather and assembling the straps to fitting and finishing each pair, our sandals are produced individually rather than on a mass-production line.

For customers visiting us in Capri, this also means experiencing one of the most distinctive traditions of the island: choosing a design and having a pair of sandals fitted and made for you.
